We got new PCBs in this week and one of them is Cygni Revision 3, the photo above is actually still revision 2 (I don’t have time to setup the light box right now).
Cygni is a great little board to get started with ARM development. We currently offer the assembled version for 26 USD with free worldwide shipping.
The biggest change in the PCB is that the drills are now large enough tolerance to fit standard headers without any wiggling. There are some minor changes as well: silk revisions, the removal of the 3 do not place items in the revision 2 board and the addition of one extra bypass capacitor.
We were happy to see the first free PCB build done last week, and hope with the easier header drills to see many more free Cygni boards turned into finished Cygnis.
This week I want to try something new with the giveaway. I will give away two Cygni PCBs. One to a random commenter and one to the person who referred the random commenter.
IE if Alice says: “I’d love a Cygni PCB, Cody told me about your site”. Then both Alice and Cody will get free PCBs if Alice replies to the email asking for her mailing address.
The random comment will be selected 24 hours after this post goes live to give everyone world wide a chance to post a comment. Comments remain moderated to keep the ever growing spam off the blog. Good luck.
Edit: Pesse wins
